Using EasySDI Monitor

Added by Bell Patrick over 7 years ago

Can anyone point me at a user manual for EasySDI Monitor? I think I have it installed OK and have a simple html form which successfully adds jobs by posting to the Monitor rest endpoint. But I can't run any jobs (using {URL_Monitor}/jobs/{name_job}/status - just get a message back saying success=false)or see any jobs in the Joomla component.

Any suggestions for possible things I might be doing wrong would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Patrick

Hey Patrick

I don't think there is a user manual for EasySDI Monitor.

1) Have you set the Monitor service url in Joomla monitor configuration. Use firefox firebug to see the calls if the rest calls are working.
2) Are your sorry the job have be create in the rigth way. The job needs a request to run with. The request needs to be create after a job have been created.
3) Have your looked in the Tomcat service Monitor log fil to see any errors server errors
4) If you are planing to use only the service part the free tool RestClient http://code.google.com/p/rest-client/ is nice to use.

The request should work http://domain/Monitor/jobs/{jobname}/status
Eks. Remeber to use a proxy if the calls are been called on localhost
http://localhost:8080/Monitor/jobs/SLA_URLER/status

Thanks very much for your help Thomas!

I'm up and running now and can see everything via the joomla interface.

I just have one more question if I may?

I've created a couple of jobs and associated a WMS endpoint with them. These successfully run at my set interval, sending a GetCapabilities request and record the responses.

What I can't work out how to do is send other types of request such as GetMap requests so that I can fully monitor my services meet the INSPIRE quality of service?

Are you able to point me in the right direction on how to set up different requests for a job looking at a given WMS endpoint?

many thanks in advance.

Patrick

If anyone can help me with this it would be much appreciated. Perhaps a screenshot of the Joomla interface that allows you to set different requests would be useful to help me see where I'm going wrong? Attached is a screenshot of the jobs I've set up. Can anyone point me at where I should be looking to set up different requests for a job looking at a given WMS endpoint e.g. different getmap requests? My job currently has the WMS endpoint associated with it. GetCapability requests are sent to it, but how do I send other types of request?

Many thanks

Patrick

Hey Patrick

sorry I forgot to answer your last questions.

I have opload 4 images showing have to set a WMS getmap request up for the following url in the monitor modul

http://www.viskort.dk/VisKort/WMS.ashx?LAYERS=viskort%3ABorgerservice&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&STYLES=&FORMAT=image%2Fpng&SRS=EPSG%3A25832&BBOX=683609.6,6198534.4,696716.8,6211641.6&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256

Your need to set up a "Getmap" request up for the job url. Here you need to set the parameters for the request and choose the type "getmap"
LAYERS=viskort%3ABorgerservice&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&STYLES=&FORMAT=image%2Fpng&SRS=EPSG%3A25832&BBOX=683609.6,6198534.4,696716.8,6211641.6&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256

You should test your url before setting it up.

WMS only supports the request types "GetMap" and "GetCapabilities"

Hope this helps.

Thomas
